Theresa, like so many mothers, expresses her love by cooking for her family. The food she receives from Caring Coalition each week makes it possible for her to feed not just her own family but others, as well.
She is now able to share the flavorful dishes she prepares with homeless and elderly folks in her neighborhood.
But Theresa does more than that. She has personally experienced hunger and knows that there are families just across the border with much less than her.
Every month or so, someone from her neighborhood travels to Mexico to deliver food and other supplies. Despite her limited means, she sends a box of non-perishable food to families in these border towns on a regular basis.
